Linda Lael Miller has been a favorite of mine for years. I liked this book but it didn’t throw me into love with it. I did read it pretty quickly. It was the last of the Brides of Bliss County, and I’ll be holding out for her next book. I give this one a 4.5.
I had back surgery and can’t tell you why I didn’t love this as much because I read it while on pain meds. My apologies to the author.

I did receive this book in kindle format through Good Reads in exchange for an honest review. Not one of my best reviews but I put it off to0 long.

Once again Me. Miller crafts a story of renewal and moving on in life. These characters are finally fully revealed and their pasts are dealt with and finally put behind them.. From the first chapter you experience all the feelings and doubts of Bex and Tate. This was a fitting conclusion to this series. You will noticeable to put this down. The plot twists with Beccas sister and Tates father are a added bounding my option and and layers to the story
Tate and Bex's story is different than the usual. Both Hadleigh and Mel had great romances but this story brought previous life complications, family and best friends into the reality that love for them a second time took on a different flavor. The kids added great depth and dimension to the romance. However the plot of Bex's fear to change up life to maintain history and to always rely on her lifetime bond with friends and their marriages, gave this 3 book series a great foundation. I continue to love Miller's books. I just wish she would write more.
This is the third book in a series by Linda Lael Miller and it is really well written, but then that is why I read her books! She always gives you a good read!! Now I want to go back and re-read the first two books in the series. The story line is good... two people who had had a rough time with their first relationships... With Bex it was the fact that Will died after he proposed to her... he died in Afghanistan. With Tate, well, his first wife might have died but it was just before they got divorced because of her serial infidelity... So they both have a few issues to deal with! Add in his two boys and her nephew and you have an interesting mix that Miller tangles and untangles!
this book was a fairly decent read. It wasn't my favorite of Miller's Brides of Bliss County series but for the most part I thought this book was a likable read.
The trait that I loved most about this book was Miller's writing style. As always Like her other books I have read her writing has a flair all of its own..and stands out in this crowded industry.
I think that with this book there was nothing special about it. It read exactly the same way as the previous books of the series. The romance was slightly dull for me and that was disappointing. As for the chemistry there was nothing extremely sexy about the attraction between Bex and Tate. I was really expecting something a little more hotter since it is after all a western-romance and LLM usually has us dreaming and sweating ..LOL..
regarding the story..the plot was a bit worn out. I would love to see LLM return to her earlier roots as a writer and pen something that is not so typical. I love a western-romance novel, but when the plots start to repeat and the characters are the same as other characters in separate books I believe it is time for something a little more interesting...
It just didn't thrill me the way I was hoping. I loved the writing don't get me wrong .. and I enjoyed the series But.. characters, the romance and the plot all need Something. At the same time I have been reading from Miller since forever it seems and of course that is never going to change. I just hope that the next series she publishs is a little different because this series is one that I doubt I will be rereading..
I don't know why LLM has changed her writing style. This book like the other two in this series is cute with kids and dogs but boring when it comes to romance and the depth of characters. It was the same with the Parable Montana series. I have to make myself finish the books. No romance except two sentences. You will miss it if you read too fast. I sure hope LLM goes back to her great romance and stories that she wrote all these years before the Parable Montana series and this Wyoming series. She even is now using the same name for characters as in her previous books. Tate in this book was the same name of the great book Tate she wrote in the Mckettricks of Texas. Now that was a great series. If you think this book was that good you havent read LLM past books. This was like reading the teenage Harlequin books we read in high school.
